Robert Emer
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
Making that first call can be the hardest and the most important step in developing personal growth and feeling better. My goal as a counselor is to develop a good therapeutic relationship with each of my clients, and provide a warm environment where clients can feel safe to open up freely with no fear of prejudice or preconceived inferences.
Being an eclectic therapist I draw from different therapeutic styles allowing me to help my clients to grow to the best of their abilities. My mission is to help people realize that they can meet their goals and in doing so, allow my clients to work on attainable steps needed to reach their goals. My belief is that therapy is about finding ones own inner harmony. Together, my clients and I will examine their own unique situations and utilize solution-focused methods to help them find peace.

Janet Williams

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor MBSR Instructor, Yoga Therapist

My goal is to be truly present with the client and to become a catalyst for positive change. I am an eclectic therapist whose strength lies in treating clients who suffer from stress and anxiety. I also focus on helping clients who wish to achieve meaning and purpose in their lives. Children and adolescents, who suffer from childhood disorders, are my third field of expertise.

I have studied and taught clinics in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. I often use MBSR and relaxation techniques to combat anxiety and depression. When working with clients who are suffering from a lack of purpose, I help them rediscover and reconnect with their core values.
For the past six years I have worked with children and adolescents at Camelot Therapeutic Day School in Naperville. In addition to counseling, I have created and taught the school’s yoga program. The student body struggles with such labels as bi polar and conduct disorder, autism, aspberger’s, post traumatic stress, ADHD, depression and anxiety. I have achieved success by treating each child as a unique individual rather than as a disorder.

Basically, I believe there is good in each of us. At times we lose track of our intrinsic goodness and self worth. I hope to serve as a guide in helping individuals rediscover just how wonderful. they truly are. Only then does positive change begin to happen.

Dawn Krawczyk

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

My therapeutic experience is layered with an emphasis on trauma. I have served clients with severe emotional and physical trauma for seven years. Mental illness has often accompanied these issues. Most of my work involves relational and transitional concerns accompanied by a multitude of coping mechanisms. I am a Certified Sexual Assault Crisis Counselor and trained in Domestic Violence. I am also trained in Conflict Resolution and work with divorce. Alongside of that I treat anxiety, depression, anger, and stress management. I have found that the foundation of a therapeutic relationship is based on support, trust, honesty, openness, and empathy. Once an individual feels safe the healing may begin. We carry with us our beliefs, relationships, environments, culture and physicality. A multi-dimensional approach is what I implement with each individual. I believe that exploration, identification and processing allow insight which in turn fosters change. Utilizing one’s strengths, I call upon client centered, cognitive behavioral, relational and attachment theories. I often use visualization and art to enhance the process.
